Mojo - Walking with Dinosaurs/Monsterjam

Briefing

Walking with Dinosaurs and Monsterjam were two big live events, organized by Mojo in 2009. To get as much visitors as possible, Fortress was recruited to help create a buzz around the events in the right target groups.

Solution

For the Walking with Dinosaurs event Fortress decided to seed a widget on social network Hyves and use forums on science, dinosaurs, robots and tech to promote the event. For the Monsterjam event Fortress started topics on forums about men, cars and motors. Fortress also used videos and personal messages to target as much users within the targetgroup as possible. For both events also influencer marketing was used, where key users within the target group were activated to influence their friends.

Result

On the Monsterjam event Fortress created 33 new topics with over 150 reactions and reached a great amount of passive users. A total 27,000 men was reached in preparation of the event. The Walking with Dinosaurs widget reached a massive amount of views, topping nearly 100,000. The forums were less active because of the nature of the event, but the reactions were very positive.
